As a GPU Energy Modeling and Analysis Engineer within the Silicon Technologies group, you will support power activity for high-performance, power-efficient GPU development. You will develop micro-architectural level energy models to facilitate early power estimation, what-if analysis, and performance per watt tradeoff studies. Your daily responsibilities include analyzing power consumption across the GPU to identify reduction opportunities, developing tools for measurement and visualization, and conducting directed studies to prototype architectural improvements. You will collaborate with driver, compiler, and application engineers to drive power reduction techniques across the entire stack. The role requires expertise in computer architecture, low-power ASIC design, and data mining of energy consumption across various workloads. Required technical skills include proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages, with optional experience using Tableau or Splunk to analyze and visualize complex GPU energy data.
