TL;DR · Global Supply Manager, Recycled Rare Earths

The Global Supply Manager (GSM) - Recycled Rare Earths joins the operations and supply chain team to manage raw material categories, specifically focusing on the recycled rare earth element supply chain for magnets. This role involves developing global sourcing strategies, identifying and qualifying new suppliers worldwide, and managing end-to-end supplier relationships from contract negotiation to performance management. The individual will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and environmental teams to ensure materials meet technical, quality, cost, and sustainability requirements. Key responsibilities include mitigating supply chain risks like geopolitical exposure and single-source dependencies while driving operational efficiencies. Candidates should possess a background in materials science or manufacturing processes such as injection molding, casting, coatings, or chemical processing. The role addresses the critical challenge of transitioning to 100% recycled rare earth elements across a diverse product portfolio including polymers, metals, and enclosure components.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for raw materials across the entire value chain.
  • Manage end-to-end supplier relationships including commercial negotiations, contracting, and performance management.
  • Lead supplier qualification processes involving technical validation, process audits, and manufacturing integration.
  • Negotiate strategic agreements to achieve targets for cost, supply assurance, technology access, and quality.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks such as geopolitical exposure and single-source dependencies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and environmental teams to ensure materials meet technical and sustainability requirements.
  • Drive operational and cost efficiencies through process improvements and competitive sourcing.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain development, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or a strong engineering background.
  • Hands-on technical experience in materials science, manufacturing processes, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
  • Experience with rare earths, critical minerals, battery materials, polymers, adhesives, surface finishes, or closed-loop recycling.
  • Proven track record of scaling new supply chains and bringing manufacturing capabilities to mass production.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills supported by data-driven positions.
  • Executive-level presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
