What you'll do

  • Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, negotiate prices, and execute orders to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop procurement strategies to source components at the lowest cost while ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Communicate engineering, material, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers based on demand signals.
  • Perform make versus buy analyses to inform outsourcing decisions for various business units.
  • Monitor supplier performance regarding delivery, quality, and cost metrics.
  • Manage materials change control processes and resolve quality issues in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Use data analytics and ERP tools to assess supplier capability and capacity for production.
  • Identify critical parts, long-lead items, and inspection requirements in collaboration with engineering.

What we're looking for

  • Must have an MBA in Supply Chain Management.
  • Must have a technical undergraduate degree.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
  • Required exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology.
  • Ability to perform data analytics using advanced Excel and multiple datasets for decision making.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawing specifications and requirements to source parts.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts and negotiate with others.
  • Preferred certifications include Six Sigma Green Belt, APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, or PMP.
