You will also integrate large-scale data pipelines using Kafka, NiFi, and Elasticsearch. This role solves complex technical problems by modernizing legacy applications into secure, high-performance frameworks for analysts performing high-consequence missions within classified or highly restricted environments.

What you'll do

Architect and implement full-stack capabilities across cloud-native microservices.
Develop secure, scalable back-end services using Python, Java/Spring Boot, or similar technologies.
Govern cloud deployments including Kubernetes clusters, Infrastructure as Code, and security controls.
Lead DevSecOps execution through GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
Integrate large-scale data and analytic pipelines using Kafka, NiFi, or Elasticsearch.
Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews to drive engineering best practices.
Evaluate emerging technologies like LLMs and AI for mission applicability.

What we're looking for

6+ years of experience with full-stack software engineering.
Experience leading technical delivery or architecture for cloud-native or distributed systems.
Experience with Python, C++, Java, Spring Boot, or enterprise service stacks.
Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or SQLite.
Experience architecting and deploying solutions using AWS or Azure cloud frameworks.
Experience with containerization and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with complex API ecosystems such as FastAPI, REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
Experience building secure, high-performance applications in classified or highly restricted environments.
Experience with automated testing tools (preferred).
Experience with AI-augmented development workflows or agentic tools (preferred).
Experience with distributed search or data platforms such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr, Kafka, or NiFi (preferred).
Experience modernizing legacy applications into modern frameworks (preferred).
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation (preferred).
Experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-based development workflows (preferred).
Experience supporting GEOINT or Intelligence Community analytic missions (preferred).
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (preferred).
