JOB TITLE: Full-Stack Software Engineer, Mid As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, Mid, you will join a collaborative technical delivery team to modernize GEOINT and national security mission systems. You will build cloud-native microservices, develop scalable front-end interfaces, and transform legacy analytical pipelines into secure architectures for exploitation, tracking, visualization, and reporting workflows. Your daily responsibilities include implementing end-to-end features using React, Angular, or Vue alongside back-end services in Python, Java, or Node.js. You will integrate API frameworks like FastAPI, REST, gRPC, or GraphQL and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes. Technical requirements include experience with AWS or Azure, Terraform, GitLab, GitHub, and SQL or NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB. You will also integrate ML-enabled components into mission workflows while maintaining DevSecOps practices.

What you'll do

Implement end-to-end features using front-end frameworks like React and back-end languages like Python or Java.
Build and integrate API frameworks including FastAPI, RESTful, gRPC, or GraphQL.
Develop and manage scalable services using Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
Support cloud deployments on AWS or Azure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
Execute DevSecOps practices including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and security scanning.
Integrate data, ML-enabled, or analytic pipeline components into mission workflows.
Troubleshoot full-stack issues and contribute to team-wide engineering improvements.

What we're looking for

4+ years of experience with full-stack software development.
Experience with modern object-oriented languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
Experience with at least one front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue, or with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience developing and consuming FastAPI, REST, gRPC, or GraphQL APIs.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience deploying to AWS or Azure cloud environments.
Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins CI/CD automation.
Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or SQLite.
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products (preferred).
Experience with microservices patterns, event-driven architectures, or message queues including Kafka, SNS, or SQS (preferred).
Experience integrating synthetic data, analytic models, or ML pipelines into applications (preferred).
Experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or distributed search systems (preferred).
Experience with user-centered design or reusable component libraries (preferred).
Experience with AI-augmented development workflows or agentic tools (preferred).
Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (preferred).
