As a Full-stack Java and React Software Engineer II within the Commercial & Investment Bank team, you will join an agile squad to design and deliver secure, scalable technology products. Your daily responsibilities include developing resilient systems using Java, creating high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms, and producing architecture artifacts while ensuring all design constraints are met. You will analyze large datasets to identify patterns for system improvements and utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to enhance delivery speed and code quality. The role requires proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, React, Micro-services, Jenkins, Git, and Jira. You will work on complex projects involving mobile features, big data trading systems, merchant payment innovations, or cloud integrations. Technical requirements include experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and potentially Terraform and AWS to solve critical financial technology challenges.
Design and develop scalable, resilient systems using Java for iterative product improvements.
Execute software solutions, technical troubleshooting, and the development of high-quality production code.
Create architecture and design artifacts while ensuring all software code meets specific design constraints.
Analyze large, diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI tools for code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, and documentation.
Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle using CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
Support production issues and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with existing systems.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
Proficiency in coding with Java, Spring Boot, React, and Micro-services.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Familiarity with development tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Jira.
Experience supporting production issues.
Experience with Agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD, and DevOps-aligned development.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and quality standards.
