JOB TITLE: Full Stack Engineer-Mid The Full Stack Engineer-Mid will join the team to support Defense and Intelligence Programs at Special Operations Command-Central. This role involves designing and maintaining data-driven backend systems to support secure, high-performance search and analytics missions. The engineer will build backend services for data ingestion and retrieval, while developing APIs and microservices. Key responsibilities include contributing to DevSecOps practices such as CI/CD, Docker containerization, and infrastructure-as-code, alongside assisting with EDA on CAI/PAI datasets. Required technical skills include proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript React, Python, Flask, and FastAPI. The candidate must also be familiar with relational and non-relational databases like Postgres and Elasticsearch, as well as Git, SQLAlchemy, and basic CI/CD pipeline support to solve complex defense and intelligence data problems.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain data-driven backend systems for secure search and analytics missions.
  • Develop backend services for data ingestion and retrieval.

  • Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Assist with Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on CAI/PAI datasets.
  • Manage relational and non-relational databases including Postgres and Elasticsearch.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must currently possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Must have 5 to 8 years of related full stack development experience.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Must be proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript React and Python.
  • Must be proficient in Flask or FastAPI and familiar with Postgres and Elasticsearch.
  • Must be proficient with Git, SQLAlchemy, and basic CI/CD pipeline support.
  • TS/SCI Clearance is required.
