JOB TITLE: Software Engineer - MID The Software Engineer - MID will join the team supporting Special Operations Command - North to design and maintain data-driven backend systems. This role focuses on providing secure, high-performance search and analytics capabilities to support U.S. national security missions. You will develop applications using Python, including the Streamlit library, or JavaScript/TypeScript with React. Key responsibilities include building backend services for data ingestion and retrieval, designing APIs and microservices using Flask or FastAPI, and implementing DevSecOps practices like CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code. You will also conduct Exploratory Data Analysis on Commercially Available Information and Publicly Available Information. What you'll do

Design and maintain data-driven backend systems for secure search and analytics.
Develop applications using Python with Streamlit or JavaScript/TypeScript with React.
Build backend services for data ingestion and retrieval using Flask or FastAPI.
Design and implement APIs and microservices for national security missions.
Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on CAI, PAI, and other datasets.
Manage data storage in Postgres databases using SQLAlchemy.
Implement DevSecOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

What we're looking for

Must be a US Citizen.
Must currently possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Must have 5+ years of related software development experience.
Must be proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript React and Python.
Must be proficient in Flask or FastAPI and familiar with Postgres and Elasticsearch.
Must be proficient with Git, SQLAlchemy, and basic CI/CD pipeline support.
TS/SCI Clearance is required.
