Firewall Network Security Engineer

What you'll do

• Assist with architecting, testing, and validating network security products in secured enclaves.
• Design long-term roadmaps for scalability within secure network environments.
• Define system security requirements including authorization boundaries, security domains, and data classification.
• Design security interfaces and trust relationships between system components and external systems.
• Implement security designs using COTS, GOTS, and open-source hardware and software.
• Harden and configure systems in accordance with Federal, DoD, and Intelligence Community guidance.
• Coordinate security assessments to identify control failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Support security operations including monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen due to legal restrictions.
• Ability to obtain an active U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of information technology experience.
• 3+ years of experience in routing (BGP/OSPF), NAT, network segmentation, and IP address subnetting.
• 3+ years of experience designing and managing firewall policies, IPS/IDS, and threat controls.
• Experience deploying and configuring Fortinet FortiGate firewalls (preferred).
• Experience building and deploying FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer in cloud or on-premises (preferred).
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with the skill to obtain and maintain SCI access (preferred).
