As a Network Firewall Engineer, you will join a systems security team to oversee the enterprise-wide deployment of the Palo Alto Networks Security Operating Platform and Panorama management framework. You will supervise and mentor a team to troubleshoot complex network challenges while developing advanced security solutions to improve enterprise security posture. Your daily responsibilities include managing infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, leading risk and vulnerability assessments, and leveraging big data analytics to identify advanced threats. You will utilize specific technologies including App-ID, User-ID, Threat Prevention, GlobalProtect, Linux OS, SolarWinds NPM, and IPAM. This role focuses on protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive capabilities from malicious payloads by managing multi-domain architectures across data center, WAN, and LAN environments to ensure robust threat prevention.

What you'll do

Deploy the Palo Alto Networks Security Operating Platform and Panorama management framework enterprise-wide.
Develop and implement advanced security solutions to provide robust threat prevention.
Supervise and mentor a team in troubleshooting complex network challenges and security features.
Research new technologies and market trends to refine security solutions and address evolving threats.
Manage infrastructure and cybersecurity controls to improve detection, vulnerability capabilities, and event correlation.
Lead risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and application areas.
Leverage big data analytics and security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

What we're looking for

Experience configuring, managing, and optimizing Network Firewalls.
Experience with multi-domain architectures, including data center, WAN, and LAN in virtualized architectures.
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
HS diploma and 7+ years of IT experience, Associate’s and 5+ years, Bachelor’s and 3+ years, or Master’s and 1+ years.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification within 45 days of start date.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 CSSP-IS Certification within 30 days of start date.
Experience in configuring, managing, and optimizing Palo Alto Firewalls directly and via Panorama (preferred).
Experience with Linux OS administration and management (preferred).
