Field Technician D

What you'll do

• Install, repair, configure, and test networking and telecommunication equipment at remote customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on various systems including backup generators and power supplies.
• Provide technical support for specific FAA programs such as FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, and WMSS.
• Coordinate with the Network Operation Control Center (NOCC) and Helpdesk to resolve field issues.
• Document all work activities and maintain accurate records of site visits and repairs.
• Maintain inventory of tools, test equipment, parts, and vehicle stock.
• Respond to on-call requests and work outside regular hours to meet customer needs.

What we're looking for

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree with 4 years of related experience.
• Obtain and maintain a DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and a DOD Secret Clearance.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License or state REAL ID equivalent with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders or step stools to reach heights of approximately 10ft.
• Experience with fiber, Carrier Ethernet, Multiplexes, DACS, Routers/Switches, and various network technologies (preferred).
• Experience with cable connectors, Bell Core Standards, and multiple types of test equipment like Viavi, JDSU, or Anritsu (preferred).
• Knowledge of power testing, backup generators, and site grounding (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
