Field Process Engineer IV

What you'll do

• Provide process support, installation, and troubleshooting for new and existing equipment at customer sites.
• Serve as primary field support for Beta sites, evaluations, and first-in-fab installations.
• Design experiments, collect data, and analyze results to optimize device architecture and process modules.
• Perform root cause analysis to address process deviations and meet customer requirements for new technologies.
• Develop best known method recipes and partner with hardware engineers to define chamber requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and instruction to Field Service Engineers and technicians on repairs and operations.
• Coordinate statistical analysis of failure rates and develop continuous improvement plans.
• Recommend design changes for technical solutions based on monitored performance trends.

What we're looking for

• A PhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or a related field is required.
• A Master of Science degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience is acceptable.
• A Bachelor of Science degree with at least 6 years of relevant work experience is acceptable.
• Proficiency in computer applications including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer relationship skills are required.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing personal protective safety equipment or a suit is required.
• In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities are preferred.
