TL;DR · Facilities Technical Project Manager

The Facilities Technical Project Manager (TPM) is a Level 4 senior individual contributor role responsible for leading mission-critical infrastructure projects to support semiconductor R&D and advanced manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility through commissioning, focusing on tool-ready infrastructure, process utilities, and cleanroom retrofit or build projects in live environments. Key responsibilities include managing CAPEX forecasting, developing construction execution plans, overseeing contractor management, and ensuring safety and contamination control. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Project for building integrated schedules and managing critical paths, with Primavera P6 as a plus. Essential skills include expertise in MEP-intensive systems, such as HVAC, electrical distribution, and gas infrastructure. This position solves the challenge of delivering complex facility readiness to support semiconductor tool installation while maintaining operational uptime and safety standards.

What you'll do

  • Lead infrastructure projects from initial feasibility through design, construction, commissioning, and final turnover.
  • Deliver tool-ready infrastructure including HVAC, electrical distribution, process utilities, and gas systems for semiconductor operations.
  • Manage cleanroom retrofit and build projects while maintaining strict contamination control and safety standards.
  • Oversee contract administration including RFP development, contractor selection, RFI management, and change order evaluation.
  • Own project financial management by managing CAPEX forecasting, monthly projections, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Microsoft Project to manage critical paths and milestones.
  • Serve as the primary integrator across cross-functional teams including EHS, IT, Engineering, and Logistics.
  • Coordinate construction activities to ensure minimal disruption to live manufacturing operations and business continuity.

What we're looking for

  • 5–10 years of progressive project management experience in facilities capital projects is required.
  • 10–15 years of experience is preferred for complex, independent ownership.
  • Demonstrated delivery of MEP-intensive projects in operational environments like manufacturing or life sciences.
  • Proven ability to lead construction administration including RFIs, submittals, contractor performance, and change control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project is required to build schedules from scratch and manage critical paths.
  • Strong competency in CAPEX forecasting, cost tracking, and variance reporting.
  • Experience with cleanrooms or tool-ready infrastructure for semiconductor manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is considered a plus.
