Facilities Control Engineer IV

What you'll do

• Manage the design, construction, commissioning, and testing of critical facility control and gas detection systems.
• Integrate critical facilities and life safety systems into building management systems for visibility and alarms.
• Develop engineering designs, specifications, and scope documents for new R&D labs and process equipment.
• Lead repairs, maintenance, calibrations, and spare parts programs for industrial control systems.
• Create standard operating procedures and provide training for technicians and external service providers.
• Perform failure mode effect analyses (FMEA) to identify risks and build robust control systems.
• Manage outsourced service providers to ensure project completion and timely resolution of action items.
• Support the startup, commissioning, and shutdown activities for process tool installations and facility expansions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of semiconductor industry experience in a facility controls and instrumentation role.
• Alternatively, a technical degree or certificate plus 10 years of industrial control system integration experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience designing industrial controls, SCADA systems, and developing PLC programming in ladder logic, function block, or structured text.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley Logix-based PLC hardware/software and ability to program at least two commercial HMI platforms.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting industrial networking devices and protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus, and BACnet.
• Experience with the startup and commissioning of control hardware, software systems, and infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of fire life safety systems (FLSS), toxic gas monitoring, and related NFPA codes is desired.
