Director of Responsible AI

What you'll do

• Facilitate governance reviews of AI and Generative AI use cases to identify and communicate inherent and residual risks.
• Evaluate risk assessments, fairness testing results, and model monitoring outcomes to determine solution readiness.
• Develop and enhance governance frameworks, standards, and procedures to enable scalable AI oversight across the enterprise.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders on Responsible AI development and regulatory considerations.
• Balance risk management with innovation to promote practical governance for high-value AI technologies.
• Evaluate the governance implications of advanced capabilities like foundation models and agentic AI systems.
• Influence control strategies for autonomous systems, including monitoring, intervention, and shutoff mechanisms.
• Lead the development and review of enterprise controls to mitigate risks associated with emerging AI technologies.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in quantitative science, statistics, data science, AI/ML development, actuarial science, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience developing, deploying, or governing Generative AI solutions.
• 1+ years of experience providing consultation, training, teaching, coaching, or advisory services.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business, risk, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, Responsible AI principles, and associated governance challenges.
• Experience in governance, risk management, controls, compliance, model risk management, or internal audit (preferred).
• Experience designing or supporting reusable AI, analytics, or machine learning components and platforms (preferred).
• Experience governing agentic AI systems and familiarity with emerging control approaches like MCP and human oversight (preferred).
