Executive Director, Information Technology

What you'll do

• Manage all aspects of the student information system, including course registration, tuition calculations, and graduation requirements.
• Develop and execute strategic technology plans to improve student experience and operational efficiency.
• Oversee enterprise-wide IT projects from inception through timely completion.
• Negotiate terms with vendors and manage third-party tools to automate workflows and enhance functionality.
• Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud infrastructure to improve security and scalability.
• Analyze data and reporting tools to provide actionable insights for academic leadership decision-making.
• Manage IT budgets, resource allocation, and personnel functions related to student information systems.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and university policies regarding data security and internal controls.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Information Technology, Higher Education Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Project management or ITIL certifications are preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Experience managing a student information system is required.
• Experience working with sensitive data such as FERPA records is required.
• Experience implementing and integrating cloud-based applications is required.
• Strategic planning experience is required.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and lead cross-functional teams is required.
