The Enterprise Operations Engineering Internship places students within the Enterprise Operations team to gain hands-on experience in supply chain management. Interns will apply the Supply Chain Operations Reference model to optimize processes across areas such as sourcing, logistics, manufacturing, and sustainability. Day-to-day responsibilities include mapping current supply chain processes, identifying efficiency improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams for data collection, and conducting market research on emerging trends or new technologies. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, alongside technical skills including Power BI, SQL, Python, and R. Candidates will also utilize data analytics, statistical analysis, and financial modeling to solve complex problems. This role addresses critical business challenges in inventory management, demand planning, order fulfillment, and the implementation of innovative quality control procedures for component suppliers.
Map and analyze current supply chain processes using the SCOR model framework.
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in sourcing and logistics.
Collect and analyze data to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain initiatives.
Conduct market research on industry trends and new technologies to optimize supply chain operations.
Develop data-driven solutions and financial or operational models to solve complex problems.
Design sustainability initiatives related to packaging, logistics, and transportation.
Perform sourcing market research to identify innovative products or categories for inclusion in HP products.
Implement new quality control processes and procedures for component suppliers.
What we're looking for
Must be a full-time student at an accredited university with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Must have completed at least the third year of a Bachelor's degree or the first year of a Master's program in a technical field.
Must have no more than 24 months of professional experience related to the role (excluding internships, research, or military service).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint is required.
Strong analytical skills are required to apply the SCOR model to identify process gaps and propose solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams are required.
Preferred majors include Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Sciences, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain Engineering.
