JOB TITLE: Enterprise Architect
The Enterprise Architecture team defines and advances the enterprise IT environment across networking, infrastructure, applications, cloud, and cybersecurity. As an Enterprise Architect, you will drive architecture development and modernization by creating and maintaining enterprise architecture roadmaps for 54 states and territories. You will contribute to current and target state designs, provide senior-level technical guidance, and assess systems for alignment with security requirements and operational constraints. Key responsibilities include capturing environment models, reinforcing architecture principles, and collaborating with cybersecurity teams to support zero trust principles and RMF. You will utilize skills in systems architecture, systems design, and technical support. Required technologies and frameworks include DoWAF, TOGAF, UML/SysML, and modeling tools like Cameo, MagicDraw, or Visio, alongside experience with Azure, AWS, and Microsoft technologies.
Develop and refine enterprise architectures for infrastructure, applications, data, and security across 54 states and territories.
Create and maintain architecture roadmaps to guide cloud adoption, modernization, and technology standardization.
Provide senior-level technical guidance and recommendations on architecture options and tradeoffs to engineers and program staff.
Capture and maintain models, diagrams, inventories, and reference architectures for the enterprise IT environment.
Enforce architecture principles and standards to ensure interoperability, security, and reuse across all programs.
Assess existing systems and proposed solutions for alignment with security requirements and operational constraints.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to provide recommendations for organizational applicability.
Translate complex technical architectures into clear diagrams and documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
What we're looking for
US Citizenship is required.
Must currently possess and maintain an active SECRET security clearance.
Must meet DoW 8570.01-M IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) prior to start.
Must obtain a computing environment certification (e.g., ITIL v4 Foundations) within six months of hire.
High School Diploma is required.
AA/AS/BA/BS in IT or a related technical discipline is preferred (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise Architecture, Systems Architecture, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related IT disciplines.
Experience in DoW, Army, DISA, or other federal/defense environments is strongly preferred.
