The Engineering Technician 4 provides broad support to the Mission Assurance Engineering and Quality Assurance departments while ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, AS9100, and other statutory requirements. This individual serves as a liaison between inspectors and audit groups to resolve production issues, conduct internal audits, and manage nonconformance and corrective action efforts. Daily responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings and specifications, developing inspection plans, performing Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis, and coordinating first article inspections. The role requires proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and enterprise systems like TIPQA, Cost Point, and TCUA. Candidates must possess skills in tools such as Ishikawa, FMEA, DOE, and 5Why. This position addresses quality management within the aerospace, mechanical, electrical, and propulsion fields to ensure components meet specific design requirements and safety standards.
Provide technical support for compliance with program, quality, organizational, and industry requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies and procedures within the Quality Management System.
Conduct internal audits to assess conformance and manage corrective/preventive actions.
Interpret technical requirements to provide inspection method guidance to engineering and design personnel.
Evaluate non-conformances, prepare reports, and manage documentation through resolution and closure.
Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis using tools like Ishikawa or 5Why.
Coordinate first article inspections with manufacturing and quality teams including planning and monitoring.
Maintain manufacturing areas and equipment to comply with Foreign Object Damage control requirements.
What we're looking for
Must be a US citizen.
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 6 years of combined education and experience in quality management systems for aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or propulsion fields.
Ability to read engineering documentation, interpret dimensions, and develop inspection plans using appropriate methods and equipment.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to work within multiple enterprise systems.
Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action tools such as Ishikawa, FMEA, DOE, KTA, and 5Why.
Accredited certification in Quality or Mission assurance field (preferred); familiarity with manufacturing processes like machining, welding, or NDT (preferred).
