What you'll do

  • Review and implement test plans, drawings, specifications, and procedures for various development projects.
  • Fabricate both inert and energetic samples following specific detailed instructions and technical requirements.
  • Operate specialized equipment including Instrons, pressure chambers, ovens, and energetic safety testing tools.
  • Analyze production and subscale propellants and ingredients during the testing process.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems and software programs independently using technical manuals and instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all operations and test results.
  • Host and demonstrate a monthly "energetics demo" for employee training purposes.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives using 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.

What we're looking for

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
  • Must be eligible for an Alcohol Tobacco and Firearm (ATF) "Explosives Possessor" designation.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; Level 2 prefers an associate degree in a technical field.
  • Experience of 0 to 2 years of additional education or related experience is required for Level 1.
  • Experience of at least 2 years of additional education or related experience is required for Level 2.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and implement technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database software.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks while wearing full personal protective equipment.
