Engineering Program Manager, Responsible AI, Safety

What you'll do

• Implement strategies to ensure the ethical and safe deployment of machine learning models.
• Develop and implement policies, standards, and processes for the safety lifecycle of ML models.
• Coordinate early engagements on product architecture, feature definition, and program execution.
• Create and manage project timelines with clear dependencies, critical paths, and systematic methodologies.
• Provide regular program status updates and communicate critical issues to the executive team.
• Identify development feasibility needs and establish achievements for checkpoints and status updates.
• Negotiate and distill complex technical requirements from multiple partners into a coherent long-term platform roadmap.
• Proactively identify issues and marshal resources to resolve risks to schedule and product quality.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of experience in project or program management shipping products driven by machine-learned systems to worldwide users.
• Experience designing the delivery of multiple significant client/server software products requiring large organizations of 100+ people.
• Project management skills including project structuring and managing multiple interdependent work streams.
• Detailed understanding of testing, build, and release processes for sophisticated software.
• Demonstrated skill in negotiating and distilling complex technical requirements from multiple partners into a coherent long-term platform roadmap.
• Demonstrated data-driven decision-making skills, including experience leading metrics-driven projects or programs.
• Experience in group facilitation, interviewing, and influence skills.
• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, engineering, or another technical area, or experience in a related field.
• Prior experience in hands-on software development (preferred).
