Engineering Manager, Software, Catalog Enrichment

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers building platforms and pipelines for catalog enrichment and ML data access.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap while balancing platform investment with reliability and developer experience.
• Build an AI-native enrichment platform combining LLMs, classical inference, and workflow orchestration into configurable pipelines.
• Drive the development of autonomous pipeline construction where users can define goals in plain language.
• Manage the ML-facing catalog data layer including metadata policies for sourcing, sharing, and licensing.
• Partner with cross-functional teams like ML, search, and ads to streamline end-to-end data flows.
• Implement human-readable controls for source prioritization, rights management, and compliance governance.
• Improve developer productivity through AI-assisted testing, investigation tools, and on-call automation.

What we're looking for

• At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing engineers as a people leader.
• Experience leading teams that build and operate production data or ML platforms with batch and streaming components.
• Strong foundation in distributed systems, data pipelines, and workflow orchestration.
• Proven ability to manage data quality, coverage, or compliance commitments using established frameworks and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to translate complex technical work for diverse audiences.
• Experience building AI-native platforms involving LLMs, classical ML, and human review.
• Familiarity with data governance, rights management, and licensing controls in multi-stakeholder environments.
