What you'll do

  • Manage a team of Quality Engineers across multiple timezones supporting MapKit SDKs and APIs.
  • Define and drive test strategies, including coverage, automation frameworks, CI/CD, and release quality gates.
  • Guide the design and development of automation tools to validate SDKs across iOS, Android, and Web platforms.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to review designs early and ensure testability is built into features.
  • Lead bug triage, root-cause analysis, and go/no-go decisions for MapKit deliverables.
  • Oversee the aggregation and analysis of test results to identify quality risks and trends.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop the technical and leadership skills of direct reports.

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of quality/test engineering experience, including at least two years in a lead or management role.
  • Proven track record of driving test strategy and delivering comprehensive coverage for mission-critical SDKs, APIs, and applications.
  • Hands-on experience with SDK/API testing and automation frameworks such as XCTest, Espresso, UI Automator, Appium, or JavaScript web frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build systems like Gradle, Git, and RESTful API/backend integration testing.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to guide teams through complex technical challenges and explain problems clearly.
  • Experience testing or designing SDKs/APIs for external use, including Android and/or iOS (preferred).
  • Practical experience with mobile and web technologies like Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or TypeScript (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SwiftUI, UIKit, React, Node.js, Agile methodologies, or mapping frameworks (preferred).
