Engineering Manager, Billing Collections

What you'll do

• Lead the team responsible for core architecture to enable billing collection.
• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for billing collection platforms.
• Drive operational excellence across all billing infrastructure systems.
• Hire and develop engineers as the team expands into new scopes.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver integrated billing solutions.
• Define priorities and scope by working backwards from internal and external customer needs.
• Define and uphold engineering standards for business-critical billing infrastructure.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of engineering management experience managing and growing teams of 5+ engineers for products at scale.
• 8+ years of full-time software development experience.
• Track record of leading engineering teams responsible for high-traffic, low-latency, and extensible systems.
• Deep user empathy with a history of working backwards from internal and external customer needs.
• Proven ability to drive rigorous decision-making and build strong partnerships across teams.
• Ability to handle ambiguity, solve complex challenges, and execute on competing high-impact priorities.
• Demonstrated focus on system reliability, operational health, and incident response.
• Experience with distributed teams, shared infrastructure, billing/metering systems, or payment infrastructure (preferred).
