What you'll do

  • Build, maintain, and improve reliable data pipelines for hardware observability data.
  • Develop and maintain data schemas, ETL processes, and validation checks for infrastructure telemetry.
  • Partner with SecOps, DevOps, and Observability teams to ensure data is available and easy to use.
  • Monitor data quality and perform root cause analysis when pipelines or data feeds fail.
  • Create documentation for data definitions, lineage, standards, and operational runbooks.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure software quality and functional accuracy across the team.
  • Manage incident response activities and participate in deployment and change management processes.

What we're looking for

  • A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in data engineering, observability engineering, infrastructure data, or related technical fields is required.
  • Proficiency in at least one general programming language like Python or Java is required.
  • Proficiency in at least one domain-specific language used for data pipeline development is required.
  • Knowledge of foundational data engineering concepts including schemas, modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and batch/streaming processing is required.
  • Ability to implement data quality checks, monitoring, reconciliation, and issue investigation for observability pipelines is required.
  • Familiarity with common data formats, metadata, lineage, schema evolution, automation tools, and network technology fundamentals is required.
  • Knowledge of SecOps practices and emerging technologies in the scope of responsibility is required.
