TL;DR · Encryption-as-a-Service (EaaS) Platform Engineer

The Encryption-as-a-Service (EaaS) Platform Engineer joins the team to advance enterprise encryption capabilities by designing, implementing, and supporting standardized key management services across cloud and on-premises environments. This role involves partnering with infrastructure and application teams to onboard new use cases, building self-service tools, and automating operational processes to improve scalability. The engineer will manage integrations with centralized key management platforms, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and technical standards. Key technologies include AWS, Azure, OCI, or Google Cloud Platform; Python, PowerShell, Bash, Java, C#, or Go for automation; Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, or Harness for infrastructure-as-code; and Docker or Kubernetes for containerized services. The role focuses on solving complex data protection challenges by providing guidance on encryption best practices, secrets management, certificate management, and secure service architectures within a regulated environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop, implement, and enhance enterprise encryption and key management services across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Integrate centralized encryption capabilities into business solutions by partnering with application, infrastructure, and platform teams.
  • Build self-service capabilities, automation, and operational processes to improve the scalability of encryption services.
  • Maintain service documentation, onboarding procedures, support models, and operational runbooks.
  • Implement and support integrations with cloud-native key management systems and related cryptographic technologies.
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure timely resolution of operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, technical standards, and regulatory requirements for data protection.
  • Provide guidance to development teams on encryption best practices and service consumption patterns.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, application development, or related technology functions.
  • Experience supporting or implementing encryption, key management, secrets management, certificate management, or cloud security solutions.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, API integrations, and service-based architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience developing scripts and automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Java, C#, or Go.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, or Harness.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native key management tools (AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, etc.) and industry certifications are preferred.
