ELH Software Engineer / Agent Engineer - EDA - Austin 2027 is a role within the Electronic Design Automation team focused on semiconductor design and verification. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop, deploy, and maintain software tools and Agentic AI solutions that automate complex chip design workflows, including synthesis, place-and-route, logic design, functional verification, and timing analysis. The role involves designing efficient algorithms and large-scale systems for products like zSystems and Power Systems. To succeed, you must possess skills in object-oriented programming using C++, Java, or Rust, along with Python scripting. Required competencies include knowledge of data structures, algorithms, digital logic design, and experience with AI or Agent Engineering. The work addresses the technical challenge of accelerating chip development through automated tools and machine learning within the semiconductor manufacturing domain.
