What you'll do

Own mechanical and thermal aspects of hardware design from initial requirements through full production.
Integrate complex thermal solutions, RF hardware, PCBAs, and cabling into cohesive mechanical designs.
Prototype rapidly to identify issues and develop final products on compressed timelines.
Support customer-facing hardware demonstrations to gather and incorporate user requirements.
Create high-quality engineering drawings that meet standard industry specifications.
Root-cause and resolve manufacturing issues through hands-on fabrication and technical problem-solving.
Design components for various manufacturing methods including CNC machining, sheet metal, and injection molding.

What we're looking for

Must have a BSME, MS, or PhD in a related engineering field.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
Requires 2+ years of mechanical design experience in a professional setting.
Experience in an immersive technical project in either a collegiate or professional setting is required.
Must possess CAD skills and the ability to create high-quality engineering drawings meeting industry standards.
Must have hands-on fabrication skills and the ability to root-cause and adapt to manufacturing issues.
Requires experience integrating PCBAs and other electronics into mechanical systems.
Must demonstrate high competence with and fluid use of engineering first principles.
