TL;DR · Electrical Hardware Engineer, CCU Validation

Electrical Hardware Engineer - CCU Validation As an Electrical Hardware Engineer - CCU Validation, you will join the team responsible for the validation and release readiness of next-generation high-compute ECUs that power automated driving, vehicle intelligence, and immersive digital experiences. You will own the planning and execution of hardware validation across bench, subsystem, and vehicle environments while managing environmental and EMC validation activities including thermal, vibration, and mechanical shock testing. Your daily work involves leading board bring-up, performing signal quality checks, conducting voltage and current measurements, and executing functional stress tests to ensure robust performance under real-world conditions. You will utilize tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers while working with high-speed interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, USB, and DDR. This role addresses the technical challenge of ensuring hardware reliability and compliance for advanced vehicle electronics.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute validation strategies, test plans, and coverage for central compute hardware across bench and vehicle environments.
  • Manage environmental and EMC/EMI validation activities including thermal, vibration, mechanical shock, and humidity testing.
  • Lead board bring-up, power-on sequencing, and functional verification for prototype and early development hardware.
  • Perform bench-level testing including signal quality checks, voltage measurements, and thermal characterization.
  • Coordinate root-cause analysis and debug efforts for issues related to power, interfaces, and component interactions.
  • Partner with design engineers to incorporate validation feedback into hardware updates and address test escapes.
  • Ensure all validation activities comply with automotive standards for reliability, manufacturability, and EMC/EMI performance.
  • Document technical risks, validation results, and requirement traceability for program leadership and engineering teams.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in hardware validation, electronics engineering, embedded systems, or compute platform development.
  • Experience with hardware validation of complex electronic modules or ECUs.
  • Knowledge of digital electronics, power architecture, and embedded hardware fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, and DDR.
  • Expertise in environmental and EMC/EMI validation processes for automotive or high-reliability applications.
  • Hands-on experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical communication skills to manage tasks across cross-functional teams.
