The Electrical Hardware Engineer - CCU Validation joins the team responsible for the Software-Defined Vehicle 2.0 platform, specifically focusing on the liquid-cooled central compute unit. This role involves owning the validation planning and execution for high-compute ECUs that support automated driving and vehicle intelligence. You will lead board bring-up, functional verification, and root-cause analysis for prototype and production-intent hardware. Key responsibilities include managing environmental testing—such as thermal, vibration, and shock—alongside EMC/EMI validation coordination. You will utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers to debug power architectures and high-speed interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, USB, and DDR. The work ensures hardware robustness and compliance with automotive standards for next-generation computing modules, requiring expertise in digital electronics, embedded hardware fundamentals, and structured documentation like DFMEA and DVP&R.
Own validation planning and execution for central compute hardware across bench, subsystem, and vehicle-relevant test environments.
Develop validation strategies and test plans aligned to product requirements, design risk areas, and program milestones.
Drive issue identification, debug coordination, root-cause tracking, and closure of hardware validation concerns.
Lead environmental validation activities including thermal, vibration, mechanical shock, and humidity reliability tests.
Coordinate EMC/EMI validation including test readiness, execution support, issue triage, and corrective action follow-up.
Lead board bring-up and functional verification for prototype hardware, including power-on sequencing and signal quality checks.
Perform failure analysis and debug issues related to power, interfaces, component interactions, and environmental exposure.
Document validation results, technical risks, and requirement-to-validation coverage for program leadership and engineering teams.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in hardware validation, electronics engineering, embedded systems, or compute platform development.
Strong experience with hardware validation of complex electronic modules or ECUs.
Working knowledge of digital electronics, power architecture, embedded hardware fundamentals, and high-speed interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, USB, and DDR.
Experience with hardware bring-up, lab debug, failure analysis, and environmental/EMC/EMI validation processes for automotive or high-reliability applications.
Hands-on experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers.
Experience with central compute, ADAS ECUs, infotainment, or other high-performance embedded computing platforms (preferred).
Experience owning or leading environmental and/or EMC validation activities for an automotive electronic module (preferred).
