What you'll do

  • Provide engineering support for operational issues across the utility-scale solar and storage inverter fleet.
  • Analyze parts usage, inspection results, and SCADA data to identify and resolve equipment reliability issues.
  • Lead root cause investigations and provide repair or troubleshooting dispositions for damaged inverter components.
  • Track inverter damages and repair status to develop accurate failure forecasting models.
  • Interface with manufacturers to resolve technical issues and establish best operating practices.
  • Create procedures and technical documentation for the safe and efficient operation of inverters.
  • Evaluate electrical engineering drawings and arc flash studies for photovoltaic systems.
  • Lead pilot projects to evaluate new equipment, tools, and operational processes.

What we're looking for

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with strong electrical experience, or a similar degree.
  • Advanced Degree is accepted as an alternative to the standard engineering degrees.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in engineering, systems integration, or technical support roles.
  • 1-3+ years of directly relevant experience in inverter technology or related fields.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, problem solving, and critical thinking.
