Electrical Distribution Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the pre-commissioning, functional testing, and energization of medium- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, and motor-control equipment.
• Verify that protection schemes including relays and circuit breakers operate according to design intent and industry standards.
• Conduct safety verifications such as Lock-out/Tag-out, arc-flash analysis, and grounding checks before applying power.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with NFPA 70E, NEC, and other relevant industrial codes and procedures.
• Produce commissioning reports, as-built drawings, and close-out documentation for new and existing infrastructure.
• Integrate newly commissioned assets with SCADA/EMS platforms to validate telemetry, alarms, and remote control functions.
• Perform fault diagnosis and corrective actions on both newly installed and legacy electrical equipment.
• Manage asset data and maintenance schedules using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

What we're looking for

• A 4-year degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting is required.
• Experience in a semiconductor fab environment is preferred.
• A Professional Engineering (PE) license recognized by the State of Texas is a plus.
• Working knowledge of IBC, IFC, and other codes for industrial power distribution system design and reliability is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA General Industries and Construction vertical standards is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and simple script creation is required.
• Authorization to access information subject to U.S. export control laws is required.
