Electrical Design Engineer, Electric Power

What you'll do

• Lead global teams in the design of new products, processes, components, and systems.
• Plan and execute enclosure packaging development programs and ongoing maintenance initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance on product needs, analysis, and the initiation of new ideas.
• Communicate project results to global customers, suppliers, and internal business units.
• Manage the planning and delivery of projects while ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Identify root causes of organizational problems and develop alternative solutions using analytical tools.
• Create and manage three-dimensional models and technical designs using CAD software.
• Monitor complex product design processes to ensure all functional requirements are met.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Ability to provide technical solutions for routine functional challenges and stay updated on technical procedures.
• Extensive experience using analytical tools to identify root causes and quantify risks before recommending actions.
• Extensive experience with CAD tools to produce, analyze, and test product design drafts.
• Extensive experience converting customer requirements into product designs while managing development costs.
• Working knowledge of building 3D models and testing alternative means of production.
• Experience with ProE/Creo electrical programs (preferred).
• Experience with electrical codes (UL, NEC, CSA), AC/DC systems, or engine/genset design (preferred).
