The Director, Strategic Customer Engineering leads a high-performing team within the OCI Strategic Customers Engineering organization to manage critical customer relationships. This leader oversees the delivery of complex, cross-functional infrastructure programs for customers deploying demanding AI, GPU, compute, storage, and networking workloads. Key responsibilities include owning large-scale GPU deployments from dock-to-live execution, establishing operating rhythms, and managing incident readiness and escalation. The role requires partnering with engineering, product, operations, support, and capacity teams to ensure delivery predictability and operational excellence. Candidates must demonstrate core competencies in cloud infrastructure, data center operations, and program management. The position involves translating technical requirements into clear milestones while mentoring program managers to improve execution quality and accountability across strategic customer environments and major service expansions.
Lead a team responsible for the delivery, operation, and scaling of OCI programs for strategic customers.
Manage large-scale GPU deployments from initial execution through operational readiness and service expansion.
Establish operating rhythms, KPIs, and execution frameworks to improve program predictability and transparency.
Identify and mitigate delivery risks, operational gaps, and technical blockers before they impact the customer.
Oversee incident readiness, escalation management, and corrective-action tracking for high-priority environments.
Translate complex technical requirements into clear milestones for senior customer stakeholders and internal leaders.
Mentor and develop program managers to improve execution quality and operational discipline.
What we're looking for
Must have 10+ years of experience.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Experience leading program management, infrastructure delivery, or customer engineering teams at scale (preferred).
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, data center operations, GPU infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, and operational readiness (preferred).
Demonstrated success driving complex cross-functional programs across engineering, product, operations, support, and customer-facing teams (preferred).
Experience working directly with senior customer stakeholders and executive leadership (preferred).
Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and escalation-management skills (preferred).
Prior people management experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing senior program leaders (preferred).
