As a Customer Engineering Architect, you will join the team to design and implement next-generation accelerated computing and AI solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You will work directly with customers ranging from startups to large enterprises to architect and deploy complex HPC and GPU clusters, AI platforms, and intelligent agentic solutions across proof-of-concept and production environments. Your daily responsibilities include building automated solutions for cluster provisioning, infrastructure as code, and performance monitoring while authoring technical collateral and reference architectures. You will utilize a technical stack including Python, Rust, Go, Java, Scala, Terraform, Ansible, Slurm, Kubernetes, and Linux distributions like RHEL or Ubuntu. The role focuses on solving complex problems in high-performance computing, GPU technology, and LLM-based applications to ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness for strategic customers.
Architect and deploy large-scale GPU, HPC, and AI infrastructure on OCI using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
Build automated solutions for cluster provisioning, software deployment, infrastructure as code, and performance monitoring.
Design and support LLM-based applications, agentic AI systems, and robotic AI platforms from design through production.
Act as a technical advisor to customers and internal teams to define and validate high-performance computing solutions.
Author technical collateral including reference architectures, deployment guides, and implementation patterns for repeatable customer solutions.
Troubleshoot infrastructure performance issues and lead root cause analysis for service-impacting incidents.
Partner with engineering teams to influence product direction and integrate new OCI services into customer-ready solutions.
What we're looking for
Candidates must have 6 to 10+ years of experience in the field.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in Architecture, Operations, and/or System Engineering.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience consulting with or interacting with customers, including architects and C-level executives.
Experience is required in scripting and automation using tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
Candidates must have recent technical experience designing or deploying infrastructure, high-performance computing (including GPU technology), or major public cloud platforms.
Proficiency in Linux distributions including Oracle Linux, RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian is required for system administration and performance optimization.
Strong communication skills are required to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Candidates must possess strong documentation skills to create infrastructure designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
