Director, Software Engineering

What you'll do

• Build and maintain Java Spring Boot services and Python ETL flows based on business requirements.
• Develop data quality rules including validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection using Python.
• Manage schemas and content for operational data stores across DB2 and Snowflake databases.
• Perform detailed data analysis to troubleshoot system anomalies and respond to production alerts.
• Design and develop microservices and RESTful APIs within a Service-Oriented Architecture.
• Execute software hygiene tasks to ensure systems are updated and security risks are minimized.
• Implement complex logic for portfolio exposure, risk analytics, and financial look-through calculations.

What we're looking for

• Requires a Master’s degree in Information Systems and Security, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• Requires three years of experience as a Software Developer, Computer Programmer, or in a similar role.
• Requires three years of experience with backend engineering using Python, Java 8+, and Spring Boot for enterprise data platforms.
• Requires three years of experience with Python for ETL engineering, data pipeline maintenance, and data quality framework development.
• Requires three years of experience with relational databases including DB2, Snowflake, and SQL Server for schema design and optimization.
• Requires expertise in Microservices, RESTful API design, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Cloud platform modernization.
• Requires proficiency in UNIX/Linux operations for deployment, scripting, troubleshooting, and runtime support.
• Requires experience with investment management data, portfolio analytics, and financial look-through calculations for risk and performance.
