Director, R&D Information Systems

What you'll do

• Define and oversee the clinical operational data and analytics strategy for systems like Veeva, Salesforce, and Medidata.
• Lead and develop a high-performing organization by recruiting, coaching, and setting ambitious goals for diverse talent.
• Shape short- and long-range infrastructure plans by aligning business needs with technology and data expertise.
• Oversee the design of scalable data architectures, including data pipelines, APIs, and ETL processes.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects to ensure on-time, high-quality, and within-budget delivery of technical roadmaps.
• Partner with Quality teams to ensure all system enhancements comply with GxP and other regulatory requirements.
• Safeguard data integrity and audit readiness across all clinical data and analytics environments.
• Create program-level budgets and resource plans while identifying cross-project synergies to improve efficiency.

What we're looking for

• 12+ years of experience with a BS/BA degree.
• 10+ years of experience with an MS/MA or MBA degree.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in IT data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields (preferred).
• 6+ years of technical project management or relevant leadership experience in a business environment (preferred).
• 8+ years of direct people-management experience (preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry (preferred).
• Experience with modern analytics tools, cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and AI/ML frameworks (preferred).
• Strong technical expertise in visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik, and ThoughtSpot (preferred).
