The Director, Physical AI leads the Physical AI and Common Services engineering field within the Enterprise AI Platforms & Infrastructure organization. What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field or equivalent practical work experience.
10+ years of professional engineering experience in robotics, mechatronics, embedded systems, or autonomous physical hardware systems.
Direct technical leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechatronics, firmware, computer vision, or robotics software.
Experience developing, integrating, or deploying autonomous mobile robot (AMR), quadrupedal, or robotic platforms.
Experience programming in C++ or Python for robotics, embedded systems, or edge compute applications.
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
Deep expertise in ROS/ROS 2, Nav2, local SLAM, LiDAR-inertial odometry, and Sim2Real simulation platforms (preferred).
Experience with mechanical payload design, actuator dynamics, power distribution, embedded firmware, and on-device AI acceleration (preferred).
