Director, Global Forward Deployed AI Programs

What you'll do

• Build and ship production-ready Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions to solve real business problems.
• Set technical and operational standards for AI pilots and scaled solutions across the global commercial strategy organization.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, prototype solutions, and debug complex production issues alongside data scientists and engineers.
• Define success metrics, financial impact metrics, and evaluation disciplines for all AI products from development to delivery.
• Establish standards for agent harnesses, including orchestration patterns, tool integrations, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Ensure all AI solutions comply with regulatory, privacy, ethical, and medical/legal/regulatory standards.
• Build repeatable playbooks, starter repositories, and integration templates to scale AI capabilities across the enterprise.
• Manage the path from prototype to production, including CI/CD, staged rollouts, and observability for deployed solutions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Master's or PhD in a related field (preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ML/AI engineering, solutions architecture, or a technical client-facing role.
• 5+ years of people management experience leading engineers in a delivery, services, or Forward Deployed Engineering-style organization.
• Hands-on experience shipping production LLM applications and AI agents, including RAG architectures, tool use, and prompt engineering.
• Demonstrated experience designing and running LLM evaluations, including building eval datasets and defining quality metrics.
• Experience deploying and operating AI systems in production, including CI/CD, monitoring, and enterprise security/privacy compliance.
• Pharma, healthcare, or regulated industry experience (preferred).
