Director, Digital Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead the development of digital integration platforms, Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture, and AI engineering initiatives.
• Write production-grade code and lead by example in architectural design and implementation.
• Define and evolve the future state of digital platforms, including legacy system integrations.
• Manage vendor selection, negotiation, and oversight for onshore, nearshore, and offshore partners.
• Establish team goals, work plans, and priorities while reporting progress to executive leadership.
• Drive talent acquisition, performance management, coaching, and succession planning for technical teams.
• Ensure all digital solutions adhere to security standards, data privacy compliance, and quality practices.
• Partner with business units to translate requirements into scalable web and mobile technology solutions.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a developer in integration, web, and mobile technologies.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience managing and building development teams.
• Expert proficiency in one or more of Java, Node.js, Python, .NET, or Rails.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and AI/ML engineering.
• 5+ years of experience working with C-level executives.
• 3+ years leading technical software development teams, including vendor and offshore management.
• A college degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• Working knowledge of system infrastructure and networking (preferred).
