The Director of Applications Development will lead a high-performing engineering organization to build and scale sophisticated data pipelines, applications, workflows, and AI/ML capabilities for a large-scale enterprise Palantir implementation. This role involves recruiting and managing a diverse team of developers and scrum masters to integrate over 100 legacy systems, including ERP, PLM, and supply chain platforms. You will establish software engineering standards, define ML governance frameworks, and oversee secure development practices within a regulated defense environment. Key technologies and skills include Palantir, Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications to deliver high-quality software products for finance, operations, and strategic planning, ensuring all development aligns with enterprise ontology and security standards.

What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 15 years of relevant experience.
Must have a Graduate Degree and at least 13 years of related experience.
Must have at least 19 years of related experience if no degree is held.
Must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for required security clearances.
Proven track record building and scaling engineering teams from 0 to 25+ engineers (preferred).
Deep expertise in modern software practices including agile/scrum, CI/CD, and DevOps (preferred).
Experience with large-scale data integration, ETL, and modern data tools like Spark or Kafka (preferred).
Experience building AI/ML systems and using AI tooling for development and testing (preferred).
