Director, Application Developer

What you'll do

• Build and lead a development organization to deliver data pipelines, applications, and AI/ML capabilities for a large-scale Palantir implementation.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard a high-caliber team of developers, scrum masters, and data engineers.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and secure development practices.
• Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines to integrate over 100 legacy systems into the Palantir platform.
• Establish ML governance frameworks including model versioning, reproducibility, fairness assessments, and drift monitoring.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories in collaboration with stakeholders and architects.
• Establish agile practices to manage sprint planning, velocity tracking, and iteration cycles for multiple engineering squads.
• Track and report key metrics including velocity, defect rates, schedule adherence, and team productivity to program leadership.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 15 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum 13 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum of 19 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a required security clearance.
• Proven track record building and scaling engineering teams from 0 to 25+ engineers (preferred).
• Deep expertise in modern software development practices including agile/scrum, CI/CD, and DevOps (preferred).
• Experience with large-scale data integration, pipeline development, and AI/ML systems (preferred).
• Experience in heavily regulated environments such as defense, financial services, or healthcare (preferred).
