Director, API Development, Member Data

What you'll do

• Lead a high-performing team responsible for the delivery and support of member operational data and APIs.
• Direct the plan, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of business solutions.
• Develop and oversee a multi-year technology support strategy with specific milestones and realization targets.
• Manage departmental budgets, financial forecasts, and cost-benefit analyses for technology support functions.
• Oversee the creation of documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies across all technology support teams.
• Monitor and maintain an internal control environment to effectively manage and mitigate operational risks.
• Manage 3rd party vendor strategies, including service agreements, staff augmentation, and technology contracts.
• Influence future business strategy by advising senior management on emerging technologies and technical solutions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
• 8 years of experience in a technology function in a Software Development/Engineering or Infrastructure environment.
• 3 years of direct team lead or management experience of IT professionals.
• Experience leading the development of enterprise-scale APIs and events consumed by multiple business applications and technology teams.
• Experience leading development in a Java/Spring Boot environment.
• Experience overseeing the technology life cycle from requirements analysis through implementation and support.
• Experience in vendor contract management and managing distributed development teams and resources.
• Financial services industry experience (preferred).
