As a member of the Cyber Architecture and Engineering organization, the AI and Security Architect, Director will define and advance security strategy for AI-enabled systems across internal enterprise platforms and client-facing products. This role involves building secure development patterns, establishing firmwide guardrails, and managing risk assessments for LLM-powered applications, agent-based workflows, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and tool-driven integrations. The candidate will address specific threats such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, and data exposure while designing automated tests integrated into CI/CD workflows. Key technical requirements include experience with distributed cloud-native platforms across Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with the ability to write code for security tooling. The role focuses on securing emerging agentic systems and ensuring secure-by-default outcomes within complex enterprise environments by providing high-level architectural leadership and technical guidance to cross-functional engineering and product teams.
Define and drive the security architecture roadmap for AI systems across enterprise platforms and client products.
Establish firmwide security standards, guardrails, and governance requirements for LLM applications and agentic workflows.
Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and architectural reviews for high-risk AI initiatives.
Mitigate specific AI risks including prompt injection, jailbreaks, data exposure, and insecure tool usage.
Design and scale automated security testing and enforcement mechanisms integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
Serve as the primary security partner to product, engineering, and architecture leadership teams.
Lead technical investigations and response strategies for emerging AI-specific threat vectors.
Mentor security engineers and build technical capability across product and infrastructure teams.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience in software engineering, product security, application security, cloud security, platform engineering, or security architecture.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale security initiatives across multiple teams and organizational boundaries.
Deep technical understanding of distributed, cloud-native platforms and modern software delivery practices.
Ability to write code or scripts to support security testing, tooling, automation, and technical analysis.
Proven ability to define technical strategy, architecture standards, and scalable security operating models in complex enterprise environments.
Strong experience with security architecture, threat modeling, secure design reviews, and practical risk reduction.
Proven ability to influence senior engineering, architecture, product, and business leaders without direct authority.
Experience building or securing enterprise AI/ML platforms and AI-enabled applications at scale (preferred).
