DFM PCBA Engineer

What you'll do

• Drive PCBA design decisions to optimize performance, cost-efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
• Conduct DFM reviews of rigid and flexible PCBA designs, providing actionable feedback to improve manufacturability.
• Design and optimize manufacturing processes for assembly materials, panel array design, and critical process parameters.
• Innovate new manufacturing processes, tooling, and automation solutions to enhance efficiency and capability.
• Develop comprehensive checklists to ensure design maturity and factory readiness for new product introductions.
• Assess PCB assembly vendor technical capabilities, identifying potential gaps and risks proactively.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in PCBA, electronic assembly or related field.
• Proven ability to apply material science and mechanical engineering principles to complex challenges.
• Demonstrated creativity and intellectual curiosity in materials science and electronics packaging.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver impactful results in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with advanced soldering methods and PCBA inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of PCB fabrication processes, flexible PCB fabrication, and first-level interconnect packaging.
• Proficiency with industry-standard CAD tools like Siemens NX and Valor for design review.
