Developer Relations Manager, Higher Education and Research - Foundational AI

What you'll do

• Serve as a technical advisor to academic AI labs on advanced models and systems.
• Identify key areas where NVIDIA platforms can enhance model performance and efficiency.
• Engage researchers to understand their goals, challenges, and infrastructure needs.
• Track frontier AI research trends and emerging opportunities in the field.
• Represent researcher feedback internally for product roadmaps and platform strategy.

What we're looking for

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with foundational AI research and development.
• Deep expertise in large language models, multimodal AI, reasoning systems, training methods, inference systems, and model serving.
• Hands-on experience with AI research stacks including PyTorch, JAX, distributed training frameworks, and GPU-accelerated workflows.
• Strong understanding of scalable AI systems, including distributed training, memory optimization, batching, scheduling, and cost-performance tradeoffs.
• Familiarity with methods to improve model efficiency and performance such as quantization, distillation, sparsity, and attention optimization.
• Established relationships with leading academic labs and experience presenting at major research venues like NeurIPS or ICML.
