Dev Lab Ops Infrastructure Manager, Development Lab Operations

What you'll do

• Lead the end-to-end design, planning, and delivery of R&D lab infrastructure projects including buildouts and utility expansions.
• Design infrastructure for lab utility systems such as electrical, chilled water, compressed air, vacuum, and specialty gases.
• Develop standardized project delivery playbooks, design templates, and commissioning protocols to enable scalable execution.
• Coordinate the transition from project delivery to operations by ensuring designs meet maintainability and reliability standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between R&D engineering teams, maintenance staff, facility managers, and external vendors.
• Manage project-level OpEx/CapEx budgets and develop business cases for infrastructure investment growth.
• Oversee vendor and contractor activities including scope development, bid evaluation, contract administration, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and conduct post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering work managing large-scale services.
• Experience reading and understanding schematics and building drawings.
• Experience in people management and team development.
• Experience maintaining SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting.
• Experience operating a mission-critical team or product.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of work in a management position with 5 or more direct reports (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation (preferred).
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations (preferred).
