What you'll do

Lead a cross-functional team in the development, implementation, testing, and sustainment of Fire Control software variants.
Ensure all subsystems meet new requirements while maintaining an innovative and reliable software architecture.
Manage engineering resources including staff assignments, capital equipment, and project scope.
Oversee the transition of systems through operational testing and deployment phases.
Manage program risks, opportunities, and conflict resolution within the project lifecycle.
Interface with internal and customer leadership to communicate project status and requirements.
Execute projects within an Agile framework while maintaining high quality standards.
Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation in software systems.

What we're looking for

U.S. citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and at least 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree and at least 6 years of experience.
Systems Engineer with heavy Software Engineering background or Software Engineer with Systems Engineering experience (preferred).
Relevant Computer Science or Software Development background or experience (preferred).
Experience leading teams of 20-25 engineers through large scale system design and implementation (preferred).
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certified or equitable project management experience (preferred).
Ability to work in an Agile framework (preferred).
