Required competencies include systems engineering, software development, and experience with Linux Operating Systems, Virtualization, and networking. You will work within an Agile framework to solve complex problems involving Commercial Off The Shelf integration in high sensitivity and safety environments for Navy customers.

What you'll do

Lead a cross-functional team in developing, implementing, and testing a General Purpose Computing platform.
Ensure the Strategic Weapon System meets all new requirements through operational test and deployment.
Manage engineering resources including staff assignments, capital equipment, and engineering scope.
Oversee the integration of shipboard and tactical programs into a reliable and maintainable infrastructure.
Manage program risks, opportunities, and conflict resolution within the Strategic Systems Business.
Interface with internal and customer leadership to communicate program progress and technical requirements.
Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation within the system.
Execute project management tasks using an Agile framework and Earned Value Management System principles.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field plus 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire.
Systems Engineer with a heavy software background (preferred).
Background in Computer Science, IT infrastructure, or Software Development (preferred).
Expertise in Linux Operating Systems, Virtualization, and minor networking (preferred).
Experience leading teams of 10-15 engineers through large scale system design and implementation (preferred).
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certified or equitable project management experience (preferred).
