The Deputy Program Manager, Engineering (DPME) Future Combatants and Mission Systems (FCMS) joins the mission systems business area to lead engineering execution for the U. Navy surface fleet. Lead engineering execution from project initiation through integration, testing, and fleet deployment.
Develop and maintain engineering plans that align technical requirements with schedules and budgets.
Ensure all engineering deliverables and technical documentation are high quality and submitted on schedule.
Validate system requirements and oversee the integration and verification of mission capabilities.
Establish performance measures and implement corrective actions to resolve technical and programmatic issues.
Manage technical risks, opportunities, and engineering changes to protect project scope and costs.
Identify AI-enabled opportunities to improve engineering quality and speed of execution.

U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience is required.
Experience applying systems engineering and project management practices across multiple life cycles, including Agile execution.
Knowledge of program performance and control methods such as SPI, CPI, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Cost Account Management (CAM).
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Preferred experience with shipboard infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, virtualization, and fleet delivery.
Preferred technical skills include knowledge of TSCE architectures, VMware, Cisco networking, CompTIA Security+, and automation tools like Python or Ansible.
