What you'll do

  • Lead the systems-engineering project lifecycle from requirements development through deployment and sustainment.
  • Oversee the development of system architectures, technical baselines, and verification strategies.
  • Apply project leadership principles including Earned Value Management and Statistical Process Controls.
  • Lead technical, design, and management reviews to brief status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support proposals by developing technical volumes, basis-of-estimate, and technical risk assessments.
  • Mentor engineers and develop technical leaders by delegating responsibility and distributing critical program knowledge.
  • Manage the resolution of technical issues and ensure updates are reflected across all affected artifacts.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions after major project phases to implement effective corrective actions.

What we're looking for

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven success leading the systems development life cycle including strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools (preferred).
  • Experience applying digital-engineering and MBSE practices, including Cameo/MagicDraw and SysML concepts (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, creative thinking, and collaborative team leadership (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills (preferred).
